Veterinary Chine House Chine House Veterinary Hospital operates a practice, which at full compliment can marshall about 20 vets, from their impressive base and veterinary facility at Sileby Hall in the village of Sileby, approximately 8 miles from Wymeswold in Leicestershire. The equine hospital was first built in 1999, albeit further extensions were subsequently constructed.

Saddlery Bitworld Bitworld, the Grimston Saddlery Co., was formed many years ago as a traditional saddlery outlet, but gradually changed in character over time to become a specialist shop dealing solely with bits.

Eventing Queenholme Lovrin's immediate neighbours in Wymeswold at Cripwell Farm are Mark and Tanya Kyle who are accredited British Eventing Trainers and members of the prestigious Professional Event Riders Association. Their Queenholme eventing operation at Wymeswold boasts 90 acres of grassland and a substantial array of equine event training facilities.

Riding Scheme Prestwold Hall
Prestwold Hall, has been owned by the Packe family for 350 years. The Hall and estate provide the perfect venue for conferences, meetings, dinners, weddings and activity days, and present a stunning backdrop for films, television and photo shoots.

For many years the Packe family very generously sponsored the Prestwold Estate Riding Scheme (PERS) on a membership basis, and at the cost of a small nominal annual charitable donation. Subsequently open public access became available under the Higher Level Stewardship scheme which provided permissive access for 10 years to walkers, riders and cyclists. Today that scheme has also expired, but accessibility can be determined by specific enquiry. The network has the potential to provides several circular and linear routes over many miles of the estate tracks which link up with public bridleways to give stunning views over the Leicestershire countryside.

Cross Country Field Farm
Field Farm is the home of Jo and Fergus Shields, and is primarily an organic beef farm of pedigree Beef Shorthorn Cattle. Jo and Fergus have created a cross country course which is available for hire, there is a large indoor school and a small competition livery yard. Jo offers tuition and is a qualified BHSII SM instructor, who trained under Lars Sederholm and Yogi Breisner, and who now competes at medium and advanced medium level dressage and events her own young horses.

Cross Country Aylesford Equine

Set on high quality turf in attractive undulating countryside, the Ayesford Equine fences and courses are professionally designed, constructed and maintained. More than 32 sets of obstacles are set so that horses, at all stages, can be schooled and enjoy crossing country. Riders can gallop or hack round, taking all or occasional fences or concentrate on specific areas. A 60m x 30m  all-weather Arena, with set of BSJA show jumps, is also available for hire by  individuals or groups and clubs. Full and part Livery services are also available.


National Equitation Bunny Hill

The School of National Equitation, better known as Bunny Hill, is a family run equestrian business of more than 50 years standing. Facilities include an indoor school, a large outdoor arena, cross country, jumping lane, LIC club house and more. Hacking, riding lessons, coaching and training and livery services are all available. In fact, the Bunny Hill team believe they offer tuition in the widest range of equestrian disciplines anywhere in the country.

Riding School Canaan Farm Canaan Farm is a riding school at Costock, whose equestrian facilities include a large indoor arena. A wide range of equestrian events and activities routinely take place at Canaan Farm.


Local Hunts

Hunt Club Quorn
The Quorn Hunt is one of the oldest in England, and was founded in 1696 by Mr. Thomas Boothby of Tooley Park, Leicestershire. The Hunt takes it's name from the village of Quorn, where the hounds were kennelled from 1753 until 1904. Now based at Kirby Bellars (the Kennels, Gaddesby Lane, LE14 2TQ), the Quorn Hunt, which is one of the best known hunts in the country, extends a warm welcome to many visitors from the UK and abroad. The Lovrin livery stables fall within the Quorn Hunt's Monday country.

Hunt Club South Notts.

The Earl of Lincoln first hunted the South Notts. County in 1677, thereafter, re-established in 1860 with Mr. John Charworth-Musters. The pack meet Mondays (Notts.) and Thursdays (Derby & Notts.). Mondays are strictly optional jumping days and include great open country woodland. Thursday country includes lots of jumping with good pasture, stone walls, hedges and rails. With kennels at Epperstone (NG14 6AT), between Newark and Nottingham, the South Notts. is renound for being a friendly and sociable hunt that warmly welcomes all visitors.
