Lovrin Equine
Ltd mobile steel field shelter sled-trailers
are neither fixed plant and
equipment nor static buildings, so do not normally require planning
permission. Heavier and more stable than equivalent wooden shelters,
these plastic coated box profile steel cladding and steel frame
construction trailers are a tough product with an extended useful life
expectancy. Fully fabricated prior to delivery, these field shelters are
delivered & offloaded in one piece on site. A convenient means by which to provide horses at pasture with shelter from the excesses of either wet and windy, or hot and sunny weather conditions, the mobility of these field shelters allows them to be moved 'to the right place at the right time'. Field shelter sled-trailers can be relocated along with horses to new pastures when fresh grass is needed, and can enable temporary use of pastures not normally grazed and so not permanently equipped with shelter. |

The wide front openings
of Lovrin Equine
Ltd
steel
field shelter sled-trailers are intended to
enable spirited horses to share shelter, yet be able to
exit
quickly and easily, safe and without injury in the event of aggressive
behaviour between animals. Highly mobile, these field shelters can be relocated in a matter of a few minutes with relative ease, and using any of a wide variety of towing vehicles, albeit wholly dependent upon prevailing ground conditions. Where sled-trailers are towed over suitably flat, reasonably dry grass, relocation causes virtually no ground damage. Regular relocation can optimise ground conditions in-field as old ground recovers quickly if not allowed to become overly poached. A wide range of towing vehicles may be used, but a small agricultural tractor is most effective particularly for towing the largest shelters. Field gates of at least 12ft nominal width are recommended, along with careful driving, to enable quick and easy free passage of the nominal 3 metre wide shelters between adjacent grass fields when under tow. Approximate dimensions common to all three sizes of shelter include; front height 2.50m (8ft-2"), rear height 2.15m (7ft-1"), depth (max. un-escorted road transport load width) 2.9m (9ft-6"). Albeit Lovrin Equine Ltd field shelters are exceptionally resistant to storm damage, exposure to extreme winds should be avoided. Face out of prevailing winds, and where possible protect in lee of hedge rows. In exposed locations and extreme adverse conditions, ground anchors may assist but should never be relied on. If blown over in extreme exposed conditions, steel shelters may be damaged but may also normally be righted with tow ropes or chains and your normal towing vehicle. Prices: Having been unable to supply since onset of Covid19 and Lockdown, and due to significant associated difficulties, we are potentially now able to recommence supply. However, due to significant and ongoing materials prices volatility, pricing is by specific enquiry for the present time. Standard colour is Juniper Green, while a lighter Olive Green is also available as are a wide range of other colours. Delivery is approx.4 weeks but can vary, so is confirmed prior to order acceptance. Payment terms: 50% with order, 50% at least 7 days prior to delivery. Minimum delivery price £150., increasing with distance to delivery site. |
